NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Eric Joseph Garner, lovingly known as "The Waterboy," passed away on February 17, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on January 12, 1973 in North Adams, MA, Eric leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and a passion for life.
Eric was the youngest son of William G. Garner and Shirley A. Garner (Deneault). He is survived by his loving wife, Amy B. Garner (Briggs); three brothers, Russell A. Garner of Issaquah, WA, Scott A. Eric attended local schools and graduated from Charles H. McCann Technical School in 1991. He started working for Sand Springs Springwater in Williamstown, MA after high school. His hard work and dedication were evident to all who knew him. His generous spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Even before he became ill, he would affectionately talk to others about how fortunate he was to have married Amy, his high school sweetheart, and how much he “fricking” loved and adored her.
