David is also survived by his three sons: David Chenail Jr. and wife Christine of Farmington, CT; Kevin Chenail and wife Mysty of Ashburn, VA; Chad Chenail and wife Katie of North Adams, MA. Dave, you were the life of the party. As you got older, you would still enjoy a party with as many family and friends you could possibly have. You raised a wonderful family that know how to love and respect people. You will be missed by so many. I will miss seeing you. Thank you for your generosity. May God hold you tight.

Sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He was a great guy who I enjoy many memories with him. As a younger boy I used to “hop” the milk truck when he delivered to our house and helped Dave finish his route. Later in life we bowled on the same Tuesday night league for Brazau’s Trucking. He was always fun to be around and will be missed! Please know Elaine and the whole family are in my thoughts and prayers!!

David was one of my first suppliers when I opened Tunnel City Coffee (Cold Spring Coffee back in 1992). To this day Mt. Williams milk was THE best milk I ever had to make our Cappuccino's with. I remember his stylish hats and joked with him that they weren't very farmer like!!
One day he was having trouble with his delivery truck and his associate told me that he was having a bad day. When he came in I said, "David, have a muffin!" With a big grin, he smiled and accepted the gift. Afterwards, I was told that whenever he had a bad day his farmhands would say, "David, have a muffin!"
It was a sad day when he retired and today I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. What a great picture you posted of him. Beautiful hat!
If any of you are reading this and if you're having a bad day. Have a muffin, look up to the heavens and know that David is up there with the biggest grin, and twinkle in his eye and eating a huge muffin!! God bless.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Mr Dave when I rented an apartment from him. He was without a doubt one of the nicest, kindest men I have ever met. I never saw him without a smile on his face. He always took time to have a chat. I left North Adams quite a few years ago but whenever I'd come back to visit...it was a bright spot to run into Dave and have a chat again. Thank you for your service Mr Dave...ironically I now live a stones throw to Ft Campbell base, I will think of you everytime they fly over my house. Rest in peace Mr Dave, you will be missed and thought of often and fondly.
To the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. My sympathies are with you. May God keep you in His loving embrace. ?
