Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

I’m grateful to have known my grandpa. He always brought a smile to my face when we’d talk and I wish we had lived closer in distance. He had such a generous heart and spirit. I was grateful to have visited him in Massachusetts and that he also spent time with us in Nevada. It meant more to me than I expressed that he always remembered my birthday or things going on in my life. While I would give anything for more years with my grandfather, it's time for him to rest in peace. May his strength and love live on through our family. Love, Shannon

There are so many great moments and fond memories of our father, Robert.

I’m thankful Dad was able to travel out west to vacation here a few times in So. NV in his senior years. One of the best memories of mine was on one of his trips to see his granddaughter Shannon graduate from UNLV. We all had such a wonderful time. He really enjoyed touring Lake Mead and Hover Dam along with visiting Nellis Air Force base and shopping at the commissary. He said he had’t done that in many long years. He wanted to take it all in. Dad enjoyed a good meal too, so he really enjoyed the Las Vegas restaurant scene.

What I miss the most are our Sunday phone calls and we sure had lots of laughs throughout the years. Dad used to send me jokes regularly via email well over 15 years ago and I kept every single email. As he aged and those emails long forgotten, I would read them back to him and we’d laugh throughout the entire conversation. Those were some of the best conversations!

I’m very happy that Robert and I were able to visit Dad recently and share some great meals and conversations with Janice and Joe and make more lasting memories with our father. It’s those cherished memories that will forever be held in my heart.

We’ll miss you pops, and your smiling face and great spirit will always be with us!

Danielle and Robert

My Dad was a wonderful kind person. Our talks on the phone were always long and enjoyable. He always made me laugh. The moment I'll remember is when my Dad visited my husband and I for my husband's 55th Birthday. My husband's Dad was also here. We heard a lot between the two about being in the service Army, Russ Sr. and Air Force, my Dad. They both are carry on their conservations together in heaven. God Bless you Dad
Love you always, Your daughter Nancy and Russ

For more than ten years of my life, Bob could have easily been described as a family member. He attended my wedding, my daughter's baptism and more, offered support when I needed it, guidance when I hadn't realized I needed it, and encouragement on a daily. He was a volunteer for me during my time at the senior center, at times, more than 20 hours a week. He will always be remembered by me and my family. To his family, I am tremendously sorry for the void that is left in his passing. To Janice and her sister, their spouses, and his grandchildren near and far (from Nevada to Texas and beyond if I recall), he always spoke so highly and lovingly about you all, sharing pictures, milestones, and special memories. He has his whole self back and for that, I think there is peace in his passing. My deepest condolences.

I will always remember Bob for the beautiful bouquets of flowers from his garden that he would bring me for my desk at work. I was his secretary at GE or a few years. He was a wonderful person. RIP Bob.
