Hazel Daignault 96

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mrs. Hazel B. (Rice) Daignault, 96, of Adams, died on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in Cheshire on December 19, 1926, a daughter of the late Edward and Beatrice (Fuller) Rice. She attended schools in Cheshire and Adams.

Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Daignault had worked for the former Sprague Electric Co., and Brightwater Paper Co.

She was a communicant of the Paris of St. John Paul II, Adams, and was a member of the rosary sodality. She loved playing cards, traveling and being with her family.

Her husband, William F. Daignault, Sr., whom she married on February 21, 1945, died on April 2, 2017.

She is survived by her son, William F. Daignault, Jr., and his wife Lillian of Windsor, her daughter, Carol Daignault of Adams, three grandchildren, William R. Daignault and his wife Tammy of Windsor, Kimberly Hogue and her husband Alfred of Adams and Paul Girard of Clarksburg; two great grandchildren Justin and Allison Girard and by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Donald and Harold Rice and William McGraw as well as by her sister Harriet Dowd.

Funeral services and burial will be held in the spring on a date to be announced.

Memorial donations may be made to the Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund, 25 Adams Rd., Williamstown, MA 01267.
