Edward P. Wilk, 93
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mr. Edward P. Wilk, 93, of Adams, died on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
He was born in Adams on June 6, 1930, a son of the late Jospeh and Aniela (Gorzelany) Wilk. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.
Mr. Wilk was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the United States Army until receiving his honorable discharge on November 4, 1953.
Mr. Wilk worked as an inspector in the Naval Ordnance division of the General Electric Co., Pittsfield, for 35 years until retiring. Earlier he had worked at the former Brightwater Paper Co., Adams.
He attended of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. He enjoyed birdwatching, working around his yard, woodworking and walking.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Janet Dabrowski, whom he married on September 2, 1957; his son Mark Wilk and his wife Nancy of Rochester, NY; his daughter Lisa Wilk and her significant other Jeff Huffman of North Adams; a brother Joseph Wilk of North Adams; one granddaughter Maggie Wilk of Baltimore, MD and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Alexander Wilk and by two sisters, Josephine Rodowicz and Sophie Burns.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
