Dr. Bertram M. Beisiegel, 91

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  Dr. Bertram M. Beisiegel passed to his rest in Jesus on November 23, 2023. His was a life marked by service: service to his community, to his church, and to his family. As a dentist of over 60 years, he diligently provided care to his community of Adams and northern Berkshire County. Dr. Beisiegel loved his patients and wanted to provide the best possible care for them, alleviating pain and improving smiles with a mixture of compassion and great skill. Many are the stories of patients who had been helped in a time of need. He was honorable and hardworking, and wished to treat everyone fairly and with respect. He loved nature and tended to an apple orchard on his property for many years. He loved donating apples to many friends, neighbors, and patients, as well as to various schools, churches, and other causes close to his heart. His strong love and commitment for God showed in the care he took of his church. He had close ties to several Seventh-day Adventist churches where he loved and worshiped Jesus. He gave faithfully and generously to many programs related to the church in order to alleviate suffering and help people to come to know Jesus. He cared for and deeply loved the family that he and his wife, Eleanor (nee Haller), started after their marriage in 1957. Together they had three children, Becki, Jeff, and Dan. The family happily grew with the addition of a spouse for each of their children (Larry, Kim, and Sonya, respectively), followed by nine grandchildren and eventually three great-grandchildren. Sadly, Bert was predeceased by Ellie in 1988. He is also survived by his older sister, Doris (nee Beisiegel) Hart and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Berkshire Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lanesborough at 2:30 pm. For those who are unable to attend in person, please send a request for viewing online to DrBMemorial@yahoo.com. A link to the service will be returned via email. In leu of flowers, his example of generosity and kindness to those in need may be followed by donating to the Adventist Disaster Relief Agency at adra.org, or to the Berkshire Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, P.O Box 2959, Pittsfield MA, 01202. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge with arrangements. To leave a message for Dr. Beisiegel’s family, please go online to www.paciorekfuneral.com

Dear Jeff and Kim and family,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your dad, while I didn’t know him well what I didn’t know he was an exemplary example of what a man should be. Losing a close family member hurts so bad, but you can rest assured you will most definitely see him again, looking better than you ever remember ? and that smile on his face when he sees his wife again will be priceless. Our prayers are with you in this most difficult time.

Your friends,

Every appointment I had with him, he would ask me about my search and rescue adventures, he was always interested in Berkshire Mountain Search and Rescue stuff, and especially wanted to go to some of the caves i go into. He was the only dentist that I felt comfortable with and wasn't afraid, to go there. He was a good dentist and a great friend. Ill miss him greatly.

I was a patient of Dr. Beisiegel from the time he came to Adams to the day he retired. To the Beisiegel family, I am so sorry for your loss. He was so proud of his family that he would share photos in his office. He was a gentleman and a wonderful kind individual. I was very fortunate to know him and respect him—my sincerest sympathy to all of the Beisiegel family.
