Bruce D. Kleiner, 72

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mr. Bruce D. Kleiner, 72, of Adams, died Sunday morning, November 26, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield from complications related to Lewy Body Dementia.

He was born in Adams on January 28, 1951, a son of the late Reginald Kleiner and Betty (Lawson) Kleiner Szufnarowski. He attended local schools, including Drury High School in North Adams.

Bruce last worked at Crane & Co. in Dalton, from 1996 until retiring in 2013. Earlier, he had worked at General Electric in Pittsfield from 1970 until 1992. Bruce was an avid fisherman and enjoyed salmon fishing on Lake Ontario. He also enjoyed restoring antique pocket watches.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Deborah A. Hurley, whom he married on May 29, 1971; one daughter, Melissa Charron and her husband Jim of Adams; one son, Trevor Kleiner and his wife Dora of Hudson, MA; four sisters, Cynthia Gibeau and Madeline Kleiner, both of Cambridge, MA; Tami Shartrand of Amherst, NH and Regina Kleiner of Springfield, MA; one brother, Craig Kleiner of Cheshire, MA; three grandchildren, Jenna Charron of Waltham, MA, and Jessica Charron and Corey Charron, both of Adams; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets Ally, Aedan, Katie and Desi.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 12 Noon in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon, prior to the funeral. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
