Gordon F. Vincent, Jr., 73

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. Gordon F. Vincent, Jr., 73, of Adams, died on Monday, November 27, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Great Barrington on November 6, 1950, a son of Gordon and Harriet (Lawrence) Vincent. He attended schools in Great Barrington.

Mr. Vincent worked as a paper manufacturer for the former James River and Crown Vantage Paper Companies.

He enjoyed old cars, taking long drives with his wife, fishing with his grandchildren, and attending their sporting events as well as long talks in the backyard with his brother, Dickie. He was always up for a good debate and loved to talk about politics. Most importantly, he never missed an opportunity to tell the people closest to him that he loved them. He lived a life well-lived and well-loved.

He is survived by his wife Jean Vincent, whom he married on February 6, 2010; one son, Jeff Vincent and his wife Susan of Adams; four daughters, Kristy Meczywor and her husband Michael of Adams, Mae Valois and her husband George of Tecumseh, OK, Anna Kulas of Dalton and Megan Middlebrook and her husband Colin of Adams; fifteen grandchildren, including, Amanda, Jake, Justin, Ashlee, Spencer, Monte, Rahmer, Gabrielle, Arianna, Tyler, Logan, Sawyer, Renley, Aiden and Molly; two brothers, Richard and Steven Vincent; two sisters, Janice Fisher and Nori Koloski, sister in law, Susan Klein and her husband, Klifton and by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Diane Vincent with whom he shared his five children, a brother Donald Vincent, and two sisters Dianna Hankey and Joyce Cousino.

Per Mr. Vincent’s request, there are no funeral services or calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Adams, Cheshire, Savoy Youth Soccer Association (ACSYS),397 West Rd., Adams, MA 01220 or to the Adams Outdoorsman for Youth, 5 Meadow St., Adams, MA 01220.
