James "Jimmy" Gigliotti, 70
LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — James Francis “Jimmy” Gigliotti, 70 of Lanesboro, MA passed away at home November 21, 2023. He attended St. Josephs in North Adams before graduating from Mt. Greylock in 1972.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy (Murray) Gigliotti and his father Francis “Fritz” Gigliotti. He leaves behind his mother Marguerite “Margie” (Dunn) Gigliotti of New Ashford, MA, his sisters and their spouses: Sandra and Dan Wallach of Lunenburg, MA, Susan Gigliotti of New Ashford, MA, Sally and Dave Vanderzee of Clifton Park, NY, and Alice and Jeff Murray of Rochester, NH. Additionally, he will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and “Thirsty Thursday” friends.
His greatest passions were his Harley Davidson, skiing, and working at Brodie Mtn (Not to mention many Blarney Room shenanigans!) His softer side was devoted to serving others in many ways; He was actively involved and rode in The Fall Run for many years supporting the Shriners Hospital. He honored our Veterans with Wreaths Across America and gave back to kids through Toys for Tots.
Funeral Notice: Calling Hours will be held Monday Nov 27 from 4-7pm at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. Tuesday Nov 28 at 11am there will be a brief service at the funeral home before burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name, payable to the Lanesborough Fire Association, and mailed to the funeral home.
