Beatrice M. Bourdon, 87

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Beatrice M. (Corbiere) Bourdon, 87, of Adams, died on Friday, November 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Cheshire on February 16, 1936, a daughter of the late W. Moise Corbiere and Levina (Serre) Corbiere Pytko. She attended schools in Cheshire and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mrs. Bourdon was primarily a homemaker but had worked for some time as a radiology technician for the former W.B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital in Adams and the former North Adams Regional Hospital. She had also been a school bus driver for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District for many years as well as driving for 2nd Woodstock in 1994.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. She was a member of the Cartier Club. She was an avid bingo player, loved trips to Las Vegas and casinos, but most of all loved being Memere to her entire family.

Her husband of 64 years, Wilfred R. Bourdon, Jr., whom she married on February 8, 1958, died on March 9, 2022. She is survived by two sons, Wilfred R. Bourdon, III and his wife Beth of Adams and James Bourdon and his wife Cassandra of Westford; three daughters, Elizabeth Mullen and her husband James of Walpole, Jeanne Fitzgerald and her husband Stephen of Adams and Judith Horton and her husband Wayne of Adams; fifteen grandchildren, Andre Fitzgerald, Laura Fitzgerald (Kristine), Andrew Bourdon, Marlena Horton, John Horton, Matthew Mullen (Kristen), Hannah Mullen, Daniel Mullen, Brittany Burke (Samuel), Nicholas Bourdon, Lucas Bourdon, Abigayle Lunsford, Isabelle Lunsford, Emily Bourdon and Jonah Bourdon; five great grandchildren, Remington, Avionna, Anthony, Abigail and Thomas; her sister Pauline Pytko of Adams and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son David Bourdon, by two brothers, Paul and Raymond Corbiere and by two sisters, Irene Koch and Annette Arena.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 29th at 10:00 A.M. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.

Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, are Tuesday, November 28th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
