Rose Rondeau, 95

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Rose Margaret (Rydholm) Rondeau, 95 of North Adams, MA died on Friday November 10, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams, MA on July 18, 1928, a daughter of Andrew John Rydholm and Mary Margaret (Rosch) Rydholm. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1947.

Rose worked at General Cable Co. and Carol Cable for many years until her retirement in 1990. She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Rose was a longtime volunteer for the former St. Francis Hope Chest.

She was the widow of George Nelson Rondeau who died on February 1, 1995. They were married on June 26, 1948. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann Rondeau and Pamela Rose (Wayne) Miller, with whom she lived and one son, Michael Nelson Rondeau of Lynchburg, VA. She also leaves six grandchildren including Wayne Miller Jr, Mark Miller, Daniel Rondeau, Thomas Rondeau, Matthew Rondeau, and Brenna Rondeau; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Lawrence Nelson Rondeau who died in infancy and two brothers and two sisters are deceased including Anne Gorham, Christine DeWitt, Robert Rydholm and William Rydholm.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rose Rondeau will be celebrated Thursday November 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Patrick & Raphael Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Thursday morning from 9-10:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the Williamstown Food Pantry or the charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
