Rene LeSage, 88

 

 

Rene Arthur LeSage, 88 of North Adams died on Tuesday, November 7, 2023at North Adams Commons. He was born in North Adams on September 26, 1935 a son of the late Arthur Rene & Helen (Daignault) LeSage.

Rene attended Drury High School and graduated with the class of 1953. He attended University of Massachusetts Amherst ROTC Program. Rene was employed at Sprague Electric and Arnold Print Works. He was last employed at James River Paper Company for 14 years.

Rene was an active and devoted Communicant & Adorer of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. He loved the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Rene also enjoyed spending time with family and attended several sporting events with his brother, Paul.

Rene leaves his wife, Claire M. (Champagne) LeSage whom he married in 1971. He also leaves 3 daughters, Sally Perras of Rutland, VT, Andrea (Shawn) LeSage Wimpenny of Clarksburg, Karen LeSage of East Hartford, CT and four sons, Raymond Perras (Carole) of North Adams, Richard Perras of Adams, MA Lawrence (Larry) LeSage of Palm Coast Florida and Michael LeSage of Adams, MA. He also leaves 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, a brother, Paul LeSage of Pittsfield. He also leaves brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Claire Zak.

 

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Rene Arthur LeSage will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 12:00 Noon. Calling hours will be on Tuesday morning from 10-11:30 AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
