Marie I. Davis, 83
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Marie Irene (Konopka) Davis, 83, of Summerfield, Fla., formerly of North Adams, died on Oct. 4, 2023.
She was born in North Adams on Feb. 24, 1940, daughter of the late Walter and Irene McPherson Konopka. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School.
Marie worked for the former Sprague Electric Co., the North Adams Redevelopment Authority and the Yankee Atomic Power Plant in Rowe.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams. She was a member of the Valley Park Lanes Women's League where she had served as president multiple times, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women's Auxiliary and the secretary to the Board of Selectman in the Town of Florida.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry-Lee Davis of Tucson, Ariz., and Timothy Davis of Rockmart, Ga.; her daughter, Jacqueline Plouff of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 8:45 a.m. from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Chrisitan Burial at 10 in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
