Barbara DiLorenzo, 89

Barbara Jean (Pilot) DiLorenzo, 89 of Clarksburg, MA died on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Barbara was born in North Adams on July 6, 1934, a daughter of Edward and Virginia (Wilton) Pilot. She was a 1952 graduate of Drury High School. Barbara married John A. DiLorenzo on October 1, 1955. John recently predeceased her on July 14, 2023.

was a devoted librarian for the Town of Clarksburg for twenty years. Prior to that she had stayed at home to raise her family. Active in Clarksburg civics affairs, she was instrumental in the building of the Clarksburg Town Library, particularly with the fund raising. She also was a former member of the Clarksburg Historical Society. was also a member of All Saints Church.

is survived by her loving children; Nancy (Kevin) Hubbard of Adams, Gary DiLorenzo of Clarksburg, John D. DiLorenzo (Debbie) of North Adams and Robert DiLorenzo (Susan) of Stamford, VT. and granddaughter Christine DiLorenzo Smith (Shawn) of Pittsfield. She also leaves her brothers Thomas Pilot of North Adams and Richard Pilot of Lanesboro. She was predeceased by two siblings, Joan Gomeau and Edward Pilot.

Services to celebrate the Life of Barbara Jean (Pilot) DiLorenzo will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St, North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 9:00 A.M - 11:00 A.M. The family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clarksburg Fire Company in care of Flynn and Dagnoli Home, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams, MA.
