Monica McLain, 65
Monica Robin (Sherman) McLain, 65 of North Adams, MA died on Monday, October 2, 2023 at North Adams Commons.
She was born in North Adams, MA on October 1, 1958, a daughter of Karin (Gaule) Sherman and the late Earl Sherman who died in 1997. She She attended local schools and was a graduate of Drury High School. Monica wed Steven McLain in 1967, sharing 47 years of marriage.
Monica was the former Town Clerk and Tax Collector for the Town of Clarksburg. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting as well as doing all types of crafts. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Her dogs were dear to her heart.
She is survived by her mother Karin Sherman, husband, Steven McLain , and four children; Steven McLain, Rebecca McLain, Daniel McLain and Debra Stokes, all of North Adams. In addition, she leaves 6 grandchildren, her brothers; Kenneth and Ronald Sherman and her sister Brenda Cariddi. was predeceased by her grandson, Keegan Perry on Sept. 30, 2020 and father Earl Sherman in 1997.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service to celebrate the life of Monica Robin McLain will be on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the family lot at Clarksburg Cemetery.
