I had Professor Trimarchi for classes from 1984- 1985 when he was teaching History at Texas Wesleyan College (now Texas Wesleyan University). In fact, I took one of his classes with two of my brothers. Professor Trimarchi was the best Professor that I ever had. He encouraged his students to express the viewpoints and to read further on the subject. I wish that I would have kept in touch with him, as I transfered to another university.

I had Professor Trimarchi for a couple of courses around 1987-1988 when he briefly taught at Illinois State University. I still own a key book that he assigned in class that has greatly influenced me. I am sad that I could not re-connect with him before his death. I know that he spoke of his love for Taiwan having taught in the far east before he taught at Illinois State, and ended up going back. He was a significant influence.

So sorry to hear of Tony's passing. We enjoyed motorcycle rides with him almost daily while he spent his summers in Adams for many years. Then stayed in touch thru emails after that.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.
