Sally Douglas, 71
CHESHIRE, Mass. —
Mrs. Sally Parkhill (Webster) Douglas, 71, of Naples, FL, formerly of Cheshire, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Physicians Regional Hospital in Naples.
She was born in Middlebury, VT on February 11, 1952, daughter of the late Harry and Marjorie (Parkhill) Webster. She earned her bachelor’s in teaching and master’s in education from the former North Adams State College.
Mrs. Douglas was the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance for the Pittsfield Public School System for 18 years, retiring in 2011.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams. She was the past president of the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials, past president of the Berkshire County Red Cross, past board member and Board if Investment for the former South Adams Savings Bank, past board member for Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and past finance chair for the Parish of St. John Paul II. She had also been a longtime member of the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown.
Sally is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Douglas, whom she married on September 1, 1973; her son, Eric Douglas and his wife Lisa; three grandchildren, Luke, Nolan and Whitney Douglas; her sister Sandra Fredrick and her husband Lawrence; two sisters in law, Mary Jane Desmarais and her husband Gerald and Carol Morin; a niece Tracie Girard; two nephews, Ryan Frederick and his wife Sarah and William Desmarais; as well as her great nieces and nephew, Justin and Allison Girard and Kensley and Addalyn Frederick.
A Liturgy of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00 A.M. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, 21 Maple St., Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, are Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
