Dorothy L. Krutiak, 98
ADAMS, Mass. —
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of the most amazing, strong and kind women we have ever known. Dorothy L. (LaGoy) Krutiak, 98, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday August 17, 2023 at BMC with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side. The world was blessed with the birth of Dot on August 2, 1925 in Adams to the late Harold and Roseanne (Lavigne) LaGoy. In her younger years she attended Adams schools and worked at the Berkshire textile mill and in her later years she was employed by Leon’s Jewelers. She was a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. She loved to travel, usually with her daughter as her side kick, even winning a red Ford mustang while on vacation in Las Vegas, one of her favorite places, along with many island adventures. She also enjoyed many fun times dancing the polka and line dancing with friends. Always the night owl, you could call her late into the evening to chat while she watched her beloved Red Sox. Mom’s love for Christmas was apparent by her beautiful display of decorations during the holidays. What brought her the deepest joy, however; was being a homemaker, caring with all her heart and soul for her family, and being a grandmother and great grandmother “Gabo”, and “Gma” as she was affectionately called, and smiled with love, joy and pride every time she heard those words. Dot had such a calm and gentle spirit that she could just make everything better for all loved ones and friends alike. In loving memory, a life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.
Her husband of 71 years, Edward Krutiak, passed away on July 31, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Krutiak and her husband, Paul Pinsonneault of Savoy; her son, James Krutiak of Adams; six grandchildren, Daniel Krutiak, Amanda Rosenburg, Jason Krutiak, Mark Krutiak, Derek Pinsonneault and Justin Pinsonneault; seven great-children, Noah and Grace Pinsonneault, Harper, Madelyn, and Caleb Pinsonneault, and Ethan and Maeve Rosenburg; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her two sons whom she loved with all her heart, Ronald and Gerald Krutiak, her daughters-in-law Mary and Patricia Krutiak, and by two brothers, Francis and Raymond LaGoy. The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 24th at 11:00 AM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 10:00 AM until the service, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Pop Cares, PO Box 482, Williamstown, MA 01267.
