Allan Richard Benoit, 40

ADAMS, Mass. —  Allan Richard Benoit, 40, former owner of Computer Doctor Store in Williamstown, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, at his home in Adams. Allan enjoyed fishing and picnics at North Pond.

He was born in North Adams on Aug. 6, 1983, a son of Andrea Cook Therrien and the late David Clifford Norman Henry Benoit Sr.

Allan graduated from Drury High School and the Mildred Elley School with a degree in computer programming. He was the owner and operator of the Computer Doctor Store on Water Street in Williamstown.

He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Tara Lynne Bush, who died Sep. 17, 2014.

Survivors include his mother, Andrea Therrien and stepfather William Therrien of Adams; daughters Alexis Benoit Girard and Aleigha Bush; granddaughter Tara Bush; his brothers David Benoit and Michelle Miller and Daniel Benoit and Ashley Beighley; and sisters Mary Benoit and Eunice Benoit his best friend. He also leaves Dolores Girard, grandmother of his deceased companion Tara Lynne Bush; close friend Travis Schneider; uncles Thomas Cook, Peter Toromino Sr., Larry Koch, and Michael Mongeon, and aunts Patricia Kidney and Jessica Cook-McCarron, and Laurie Beighley. He also leaves his best friend Beau Alexander. His best buddy Duke the dog. 

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will take place Friday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery, North Adams. A calling hour will take place on Friday, Sept. 1, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. A celbration of his life will be at The Greylock Club in North Adams at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home.
