Franklin P. Stevens, 85

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Franklin Potter Stevens 85, of North Adams died Friday July 28, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center North.

He was born in North Adams on March 10, 1938 a son of Franklin P. Stevens and Virginia (Duval ) Stevens. Franklin graduated from Drury High School and from the Leland Powers School of Broadcasting. He retired from Williams College after 26 years where he was employed as a dispatcher for Campus Safety services.

He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in North Adams, over 50 year member of the Lafayette- Greylock Masonic A.F. & A.M. Lodge , member of the Order of Eastern Star , Berkshire Shriners and Melha Shriners.

Survivors include his wife Eloise (Burdick) Stevens, nephews Thomas Burdick (Yvonne) and their children Elijah and Emma, Michael Storm (Eve) and their children Wren and Ronan.

Funeral Services will take place Thursday August 3, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Parklawn Cemetery, Bennington, VT. Calling hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams are Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 3P.M. to 6P.M. A Order of Eastern Star services will take place at 5:00 P.M. followed by a Masonic service at 5:30 P.M. Memorial donations are suggested for the First Baptist Church of North Adams or the Shriners Children's Hospital in Springfield, MA through the funeral home.
