Patricia A. Krutiak, 65

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Patricia Ann (McCarthy) Krutiak, 65, of Adams, died Tuesday evening, July 18, 2023 at her home after a 4 year battle with small cell cancer.

She was born in Williamstown on February 15, 1958, a daughter of the late Gerald T. and Yvonne R. (Laramee) McCarthy. She attended Williamstown schools, including Mt. Greylock Regional High School.

Pat last worked as a mammography technician at The Women’s Imaging Center at Berkshire Medical Center until retiring last year after 28 years of service. Earlier, she had worked as manager at the former Kentucky Fried Chicken in Adams for several years.

She enjoyed vacationing in Aruba and Maine regularly for over 30 years with her husband Jim. They also attended many street rod shows together over the years. She often enjoyed golfing. Halloween was one of her favorite times of the year, being well known for the extravagant decorations and treat bags for the kids trick or treating.

Pat is survived by her much loved husband, James E. Krutiak, whom she married on May 22, 1992; one son, Jason D. Choquette of Florida; one brother, Richard McCarthy of Adams; one sister, Gail O’Hearn of Lakeland, FL; two grandchildren, Salem Rose Choquette and Colby D. Choquette; a great grandson, Hudson Choquette; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves her beloved pets Chuck and Bella. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael McCarthy.

Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.

I was so sorry to just learn about Pat's passing, Jim. I attended the medical assisting course with Pat prior to her furthering her education as a mammo technician. With sympathy to you and your family.

We send much comfort and condolences to Pat’s family. Her loss is particularly heartbreaking to us. She was a sweet and gentle soul who taught us everything about Maine Coons which certainly changed our lives for the better. She was so giving. We would talk often about Aruba and Hawaii. She will be missed.

I went to high school with Pat . We sat together in class .she was a good person. In the past years I have seen Pat at ehr work at my primary s office etc. She was always working. I kept in touch with face book . I checked on her when she was out of work getting treatments. She was always hopefull. I am very sad that she has lost her battle to cancer .
