Daniel Soha, 70
ADAMS, Mass. — With great sadness, the family of Daniel Soha, 70, of Adams announces his passing at home on July 12th, 2023.
He was born in Adams on May 26, 1953, a son of the late Rudolph and Angela (Godek) Soha. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1971.
Mr. Soha worked for many years as a machine operator for the former W.R. Grace Company in Adams and then their successor, MacDermid Chemical until his retirement.
He is survived by his four sons, Jason Soha (Doreen) of Cheshire, Matthew Soha (Kristen) of Galion, OH, Jesse Soha of Stamford, VT and Joseph Soha (Heather) of Huntsville, OH; one sister, Judith Soha of Fall River, MA; one brother, James Soha of North Adams; his former wife Kathy Williamson and his longtime companion Mary Ellen LaFountain; eight grandchildren, Evan, Avery, Levi, Spencer, Ashley, Jackson, Jamie & Maggie; one great grandchild, Saphira and two nephews Charles & Zachary.
Dan loved music, especially the Beatles, and could be found walking the bike trail or downtown North Adams playing his guitar. He was a kind soul who always had a smile and a listening ear to anyone he met. He took joy being out in nature hunting and fishing. He entertained his family with UFO stories and spent some time out west where he visited Roswell and Area 51. He and his siblings just went on a trip to Poland where they visited their grandfather’s birthplace and shared many special memories together.
He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. He was a member of the MacDermid Quarter Century Club.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July, 27th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.
Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
