John DiLorenzo, 95

John Anthony DiLorenzo, 95 of Clarksburg died Friday July 14, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.

He was born in North Adams on December 14, 1927 a son of Sebastiano and Anna (Saiano) DiLorenzo. John graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1945 and attended Oklahoma State College. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy serving during WW II.

John was longtime member of the Local Carpenter's Union and was a member of the North Adams American Legion and the VFW. He loved spending time with his family, woodworking and bowling. He was proud of building his own home and assisting in the building his son's home.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years Barbara J. (Pilot) DiLorenzo whom he married October 1, 1955, daughter Nancy Hubbard (Kevin) of Adams, sons Gary DiLorenzo of Clarksburg, John DiLorenzo (Debbie) of North Adams, Robert DiLorenzo ( Susan) of Stamford, VT , granddaughter Christine DiLorenzo Smith (Shawn) of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by two brothers Joseph DiLorenzo, Pasquale "Pat" DiLorenzo and a sister Antoinette Simonelli. The family would like to thank the staffs at Williamstown Commons and BMC for the care that they provide to John.

Funeral Services to celebrate the Life of John DiLorenzo will take place Friday July 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial with military honors will follow in the family plot in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Co. through the funeral home.
