Jeanette Wildermuth, 96

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  Jeanette M. (Van Der Biesen) Wildermuth, 96 of Williamstown died Sunday July 2, 2023. She was born in Hudson, New York on May 30, 1927 a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Snow) Van Der Biesen.

She graduated from Philmont High School with the class of 1945 and from Austin Beauty School, both in New York.

Jeanette was a devoted mother and homemaker, she was a member of the Williamstown Methodist Church, volunteer at the Williamstown Tourist and Information Booth and was a Gray Lady at North Adams Regional Hospital. She also worked in the Williamstown Public Schools for many years.

Her husband Richard A. Wildermuth whom she married April 30, 1949 died January 21, 2011. Together they enjoyed traveling the world.

Survivors include two sons Mark Wildermuth and his wife Cynthia of Fall River, Peter Wildermuth and his wife Cheryl Lee of Clarksburg, grandchildren Peter Wildermuth Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Ashfield, Kurt Wildermuth and his wife Nicole Roberts of North Adams, Amy Flis and her husband John of Middletown, RI and Carrie Wildermuth of Missouri. She also leaves 9 great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters Joanne Kromer and Dorothy Van Der Biesen.

Private burial will take place in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for Perkins School for the Blind and Elder Services of the Berkshires through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA.
