Beatrice Bissaillon, 94
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Beatrice Blanche (Brazeau) Bissaillon, 94 of North Adams, MA died on Sunday July 2, 2023 at Craneville Place in Dalton.
She was born in North Adams, MA on August 6, 1928, a daughter of Edward G. and Rachel (Perreault) Brazeau. She attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School.
In her early years, she worked at New England Telephone Co. After raising her family, Beatrice worked at Waverly Fabrics. Beatrice was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She was a longtime, active communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister; was a member of its Adult Society and worked at Bingo for many years. Beatrice was a member of the "Psalmtones" and the Briggsville Women's Club. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She was the widow of Raymond A. Bissaillon Sr. who died on August 27, 2001. They were married on September 20, 1947. Survivors include four daughters- Dorothy (Harry) Lohnes of Virginia Beach, VA; Judith (Thomas) Condron of Dalton, MA; Mary Herter of Wichita, KS and Patricia (David) Kolis of Adams, MA and two sons- David Bissaillon (Jeff Briggs) of Mims, FL and Paul (Laurie) Bissaillon of Slatington, PA. Her son, Raymond A. Bissaillon Jr died on November 9, 2014. She also leaves ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews including Sandy Descoteau who had a special relationship with her. She was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister including Roma Morris and Vincent, Raymond, Charles, Edmond, Aldor, Paul, Francis and Valmore.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Beatrice Bissaillon will be celebrated Thursday July 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Thursday morning from 9-10:30 AM.
