M. Norma Klein, 92

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mrs. M. Norma (Fortier) Klein, 92, of Adams, died Sunday evening, September 11, 2022 at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox. She was born in Adams on March 13, 1930, a daughter of the late John E. and Amy (Frese) Fortier. She graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1948. Following graduation, she and her husband, Nicholas R. Klein were married in Notre Dame Church Adams, on July 5, 1948, and enjoyed a full and wonderful life together. Nick died on April 2, 2003.

Norma was employed at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams from 1953 to 1956. She then did secretarial work for both the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District and C.H. McCann Technical School in North Adams, until retiring in 1985.

Norma and Nick traveled a great deal following their retirement, to many European countries, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, and to Hawaii several times. Wonderful and memorable times were spent with their grandchildren who accompanied them on many trips.

Her family and her home were the greatest joys of her life. She and Nick enjoyed music and dancing and dining out with friends. When she wasn’t working in her yard she enjoyed quilting, home decorating and walking.
