Richard Wilk, 67

Richard William Wilk 67, of North Adams, MA, died peacefully on Saturday August 14, 2021 at his home. He was born in North Adams on April 18, 1954 a son of the late Justyn Joseph Wilk Jr. and Lorraine (LaFountain) Wilk. Richard graduated from McCann Technical High School in 1972 from the automotive program and in 2001 completed applied engineering technology preparation from Berkshire Community College. He was an employed carpenter, welder and laborer and was employed at Curtis Fine Papers, New England Power, Krutiak Construction, Construction Driving at Raymond International Builders and in his younger years at the Burnett Farms in Adams. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Survivors include his two daughters Dr. Amy Francis of Hanover, NH and Christina Wilk of Manhattan, NY , sisters Patricia Butler of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Joyce Nadeau of Harrisville, NH and his longtime partner Janice Alcombright of North Adams. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Paula Cote and brother Justyn Wilk III.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday August 20, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in the family plot in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams, MA. There are no calling hours.
