Longtime Berkshire County Sheriff, Carmen C. Massimiano formerly served on the School Committee for 10 years. A Pittsfield High School graduate, Massimiano, 63, returned to the area after receiving a bachelor's degree in sociology from St. Anselm's College and a master's degree in criminal justice from American International College. Before becoming sheriff, Massimiano was chief probation officer of Berkshire Superior Court.
