Readsboro Resident Running for Town Clerk

To the editor:

With Town Meeting Day just around the corner, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the voters of Readsboro. My name is Melinda Holland-Gulotta and I have decided to run for the office of town clerk.

Having grown up in the town of Readsboro, I feel that I have a strong knowledge of the town and the people that live in it. My previous secretarial experience and my current position as Select Board clerk will provide both the skills and the knowledge of town business needed in the position of town clerk.

I am a team player who will not let politics get in the way of performing my job. If elected, I intend to create a friendly, open environment for the people of Readsboro. I will go above and beyond the expectations for the job of Town Clerk and I will strive to send a positive image of Readsboro to all who visit the Town Office.

The Town Office is the central hub of our community and I feel that there is a strong need to make people feel welcome and let them know that town officials are there to help them with whatever their needs may be.

I intend to work hard to achieve this goal and would really appreciate your support in the upcoming March 4, 2008, election. Thank you for your time and consideration.
