North Adams, 10 a.m.
Families with children up to 6 years old are invited to join MASS MoCA Museum Educators for a storytime and related exploration in the galleries. Each storytime will feature a different children’s book about contemporary art, creativity, and/or the themes of the exhibitions on display. Meet in Kidspace at the designated time and a brief gallery walk-through and discussion of the art will follow. This program is in partnership with the North Adams Public Library.
Free; RSVP to reserve your spot. Please note that caregivers should stay with their children at all times. Older siblings are welcome to attend.
At this time we cannot accommodate large groups in storytime. To arrange a group visit to the museum and discuss educational components that could be included in your visit, please contact studentgroups@massmoca.org.

CURATORIAL GALLERY TOUR
Stockbridge, 11:30 a.m.
Join exhibition Curator Stephanie Haboush Plunkett for an in-depth tour of a rarely exhibited collection of work by Norman Rockwell and Golden Age illustrators Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, Stanley Arthurs, Worth Brehm, and Charles Chambers. See how Rockwell and other artists extolled the wonder and beauty of artificial light in a series of paintings originally created for Edison Mazda Lamps, the division of the General Electric Company that manufactured light bulbs.

BERKSHIRE LYRIC PRESENTS: THE VERY BEST TIME OF THE YEAR
Windsor | Stockbridge, 3 p.m.
Berkshire Lyric presents The Very Best Time of the Year, on Saturday December 21. The holiday choral program will take place at 3:00 at the Stockbridge Congregational Church on Main Street in Stockbridge. The concert of traditional and contemporary carols will also include a number of well known standards from the American holiday songbook. The 85 voice Berkshire Lyric will be joined by Lyric’s young women’s ensemble Melodious Accord and by Lyric’s Resident Vocal Artist John Demler. The Lyric Children’s Chorus will welcome a visit from Santa Claus at this old-fashioned holiday event geared for children of all ages. The concert is under the direction of artistic director and conductor Jack Brown and assisted by Joe Rose at the piano and pipe organ. There will be many opportunities to sing along with the massed 100 singers. Tickets are $20 and will be sold at the door, with children and students 18 and under admitted for free. Advance purchases can be made through the Berkshire Lyric website or member singers. This concert is underwritten by the Red Lion Inn of Stockbridge.

THE PAUL WINTOR CONSORT RETURNS TO SAINT JAMES PLACE

Music by The Russet Trio - Aldo Lavaggi (fiddle and mandolin), Peter Madsen (guitar and percussion), Stuart Kenney (bass), with caller Sarah VanNorstrand.

Potluck 6:30
Dancing from 7:45-10:45
Admission $25, $15 for students to both dances. Regular admission price ($12-15 non-students, $10 for students) for just the evening dance and potluck. All welcome to the potluck.
Bring a dish to share and your own plates and silverware (a note with ingredients is helpful).
