North Adams - A special meeting has been called for residents of the Blackinton neighborhood, in response to several projects being planned for the area that will have an impact on the people who live there.
The meeting will take place Monday, April 23 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Blackinton Union Church, 1373 Mass Ave. Business and government representatives will be present to discuss the three projects.
Michael Richardello, of Meehan and Company, will discuss current plans to develop, in partnership with a Boston company, housing units in the old mill. He expressed strong interest in working with residents as this project moves along.
North Adams City Council President Gailanne Cariddi will discuss the extension of the bike path; the project is currently at the stage of determining possible routes. Cariddi will also talk about the request for state funding to restore the walking bridge.
