North Adams - The lives of the youngest members of the Northern Berkshire region will take center stage on March 9 during a monthly meeting of the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church at the corner of Main and Eagle streets.

A Northern Berkshire Early Childhood Initiative launched by Berkshire Children and Families will be featured as part of the meeting agenda. Discussion will focus on "our investments and hopes regarding children age six and under in Northern Berkshire," according to information from the coalition.

As part of the meeting, conversation is expected to include the neefs of families and what families offer a community, the needs of schools and what schools offer, and community needs and offerings that can promote healthy, positive situations for children age six and under.
