Taylor At Tanglewood, Tickets On Sale Feb. 4

12:00AM / Tuesday, January 30, 2007

Tickets for a one-night-only August James Taylor Tanglewood performance go on sale Feb. 4.
Lenox - Legendary singer-songwriter and Massachusetts native son James Taylor returns to Tanglewood for one night only this summer to perform Fri. Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Koussevitzky Music Shed.

Tickets for this special concert go on sale to the public at 9 a.m. on Sunday, February 4.

Tickets for the remainder of the 2007 Tanglewood season go on sale
February 11.

This summer, Taylor performs his critically acclaimed "One Man
Band" show, an intimate performance of his most beloved songs along with autobiographical stories, film clips, and images. Taylor will be
joined by pianist Larry Goldings.

This marks a return to an earlier, simpler style of performance for the perennial, quintessential singer-songwriter, recalling the beginning of his career in the late ’60s when he’d hit the road with a guitar, a suitcase, and a handful of original songs.

To charge Tanglewood tickets to a major credit card, call SymphonyCharge at 617-266-1200 or 888-266-1200.

Tickets may also be purchased online through the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s website at www.tanglewood.org , powered by EMC Corporation. There is a service charge for each ticket purchased on line or by phone.

The Tanglewood Box Office at Tanglewood’s Main Gate on West Street in Lenox, Mass., will open to the public on Fri., June 9, at 10 a.m..
