Pittsfield - Joshua A. Luczynski, 23, of 99 Millard Ave., Clarksburg, was sentenced to concurrent three to three-and-a-half year prison terms at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute at Cedar Junction. Luczynski was sentenced on Jan. 11 by Judge Peter Velis at the Berkshire Superior Court after Luczynski pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in cocaine and one count of conspiracy to violate cocaine laws.
Luczynski was charged after a vehicle he was driving was stopped by police in North Adams in September. Cocaine seized during the stop has a street value of $6,000, according to law enforcement officials.
Pippit
Lauren Pippit, 21, of 3 Richmond Lane, Adams,was sentenced to a one-year jail term at the Berkshire County House of Correction on Jan. 11 after Pippit pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. The sentence was handed down by Judge Peter Velis.
Pippit was charged after police executed a search warrant at her home in March. One count of possession of marijuana was filed without a change in plea.
Bruno
Elwin Bruno, 39, who is also known as Elwin S. Bruno, Jr., Cougar Bruno, Rashawn Vaughn, Rashaan Vaughn,Rasharn Vaugh, and Elwin S. Bruno, of 16 Balance Rock Road, was sentenced to concurrent two-year jail terms at the Berkshire County House of Correction after he pleaded guilty to four counts of distribution of cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine with itent to distribute. He was sentenced on three of the distribution counts and the possession charge and was also sentnced to a two-year jail term on a remaining distribution charge, to be served after the intial sentence, for total sentence of four years.
Bruno was charged after he sold cocaine in Pittsfield and Lanesboro during a period of time in February.
Rathbun
Michael J. Rathbun, 23, of 96 Fourth St. Pittsfield, was ordered to serve one year of a two-and-a-half year jail sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction after he pleaded guilty on Jan. 11 in Berkshire Superior Court to one count of distribution of heroin, one count of conspiracy to violate drug laws, one count of possession of heroin, second offense, and one count of possession of a hypodermic needle.
Judge Peter Velis sentenced Rathbun on the distribution charge and handed down one-year concurrent jail sentences on the remaining charges. Rathbun was also placed on one year's probation on conditions that he refrain from using drugs and alcohol and undergo random testing during the probation period.
Pizzaro
Issac L. Pizzaro, 29, of 244 Wahconah St., Pittsfield, was sentenced to a four to six year state prison term at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute at Cedar Junction after he pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Jan. 11 to one count of armed assault with intent to murder, one count of mayhem, one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of assault and battery on a police officer.
Judge Peter Velis sentenced Pizzaro. Pizzaro was charged after he assaulted a Stockbridge man with a knife in April 2005 and also assaulted a Massachusetts State Police officer as he attempted to flee the area.
Colvin
Gerald F. Colvin III, of 14 Fourth St., Pittsfield, was sentenced to concurrent five to seven-year state prison terms at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute at Cedar Junction after he pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Jan. 11 to one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
Judge Peter Velis also filed one count of armed home invasion, one count of armed assault with intent to commit murder, and one count of armed assault in a dwelling without a change of plea and dismissed one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at the request of the Commonwealth.
Colvin assaulted a man in Pittsfield in April 2005.
Tyler
Raymond Tyler, 39, of 5 Lawrence Drive, Pittsfield, was given a one-year suspended jail sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction after he pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Jan. 11 to one count of possession of oxycontin with intent to distribute and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Judge Peter Velis also placed Tyler on one year's probation on the condition that he seek and maintain employment during the probation period.
