| MCLA English Professor Roseanne Denhard | – Rosanne Denhard, an English professor at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, last month participated in the triennial “Attending to Early Modern Women†symposium at the Center for Renaissance and Baroque Studies at the University of Maryland-College Park.
At the three-day, interdisciplinary conference – which included scholars
working in history, English literature, art history, musicology,
comparative literature and religious studies – Denhard led a workshop on
16th- and 17th-century women’s education in England, Europe and the
Americas with collaborators from the University of California-Davis and
St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
In addition, University of Delaware Press soon will publish one of
Denhard’s short essays, describing her workshop with collaborator Gweno
Williams of the College of York-St. John, U.K., on teaching the work of
17th-century playwright Margaret Cavendish through performance.
