North Adams - Dan Bazile, an anchor for the weekend news program NewsChannel 13 Weekend Today, is scheduled to speak at
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Thursday, Nov. 16.
The public is welcome to attend the free lecture, which is sponsored by the MCLA chapter of the National Broadcasting Society. Bazile is set to speak at 12:30 p.m. in the Murdock Hall Conference Reception Room [Room 218].
Bazile spent several years as an actor and freelance writer before
entering the television news business in 1999. Since then, he's become a familiar face to Capital Region [Albany, N.Y. area]residents.
During his five-year reporting career, he has covered a wide range of news events including the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the extradition of Ira Einhorn from Europe to the United States to serve prison time for murder.
Bazile grew up in New York City and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and theatre from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He resides in Clifton Park.
