New Trustees At Bennington Museum12:00AM / Thursday, January 05, 2006
Bennington, Vt. – The Bennington Museum Board of Trustees has welcomed four new members. Raymond Bolton, William Scully, Susanne Warren and Perez Ehrich joined the board during the fall.
Raymond Bolton
Bolton was elected to the museum’s trustee board in September. He is a Bennington-bases attorney who served as the Bennington County State’s Attorney from 1974 to 1986.Bolton is involved in legal matters involving real estate and has successfully closed numerous real estate transactions since 1987.Bolton is heavily involed in community and civic endeavors. He is the president of the Bennington Lions’ Club, the Bennington County Bar Association, Bennington Division, and the American Heart Association, Bennington Division. Bolton is also the secretary for the Bennington County United Way. He is a 1972 graduate of the Boston Law College.
William Scully
Scully was elected to the board in September. He is the owner of the regionally renowned Pangaea Restaurant in North Bennington, which Scully opened in 2002. Scully has worked extensively as an executive chef and has been awarded the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2003. Scully has been involved with social endeavors and in 2003, he worked with at-risk highschool students as part of the Bennington College Quantum Leap program. Scully is a 1993 graduate of Bennington College.
Perez Erich
Erich joined the board in November. He is the current Principal of Hemmings Market and Tech Guides and was Vice-president of Watering Incorporated [Hemmings Motor news] from 1997-2002.He worked as an associate in a New Yorklaw firm from 1970-75, and then worked as a partner in several New York law firms before 1997. Erich served as a United States Army Captain in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. He is the director of the Bennington Youth center and the First Dat Foundation, and is a trustee for the Southern Vermont College and the Vermont Law School. He is a member of the Southern Vermont Health Center’s Northshire Regional Advisory Board. Erich graduated from Harvard University in 1964 and the New York Law School in 1968.
Susanne Warren
Warren joined the Board of Trustees in November. She is the director of the John G. McCullough Free Library in North Bennington. She has taught at Union College and the University of Vermont, and has also served as a technical services coordinator for digital projects at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute Library in Williamstown, Mass.. Warren was the user services coordinator for the J.Paul Getty Trust’s Art and Architecture Thesarus. In 1997, after departing from the Getty Trust, Warren was an information management consultant for prestigious institutions including the Harvard University Visuals Collection, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Institution.
