Aug. 11 Lunchtime Gallery Talk at the Clark

12:00AM / Thursday, August 04, 2005

Williamstown -Get the inside story on Pierre Auguste Renior's "Marie-Therese Durand-Ruel Sewing" during an Aug. 11 "Looking at Lunchtime" gallery talk at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute. The 12:30 p.m. discussion will be led by Associate Curator of European Art Sarah Lees. The featured painting is one of 30 Clark Art Institute collection Renior paintings. The half-hour gallery talk is included in the price of admission.

The popular gallery talk series is scheduled for the second Thursday of every month and features a curator or special guest who highlights a piece included in the Clark's collection. Lunches may be purchased from the museum's Coffee Cart or at Jae's At the Clark, and visitors may bring a bag lunch.

The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Mass., and galleries are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in July and August. The museum is closed on Mondays from Sept. to June. Admission from June 1 to Oct. 1 is $10 for adults and is free for children aged 18 years old or younger, Clark members, and students with valid student identification. From Nov. to May, admission is free.

For more information, visit the Clark Internet web site at www.clarkart.edu or call 413-458-2303.
