Pittsfield Police Investigating Sunday Evening Shooting

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old man to the hospital.

 

Police say Sunday night at 7:12 ShotSpotter activated for gunfire in the area of Francis Avenue and Union Street. Responding officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

 

The victim was transported to Berkshire Medical Center and was uncooperative with officers attempting to interview him, according to police. The injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
