Superior Court Briefs: October 4
Jon Gilmore, 21, of Pittsfield was sentenced to two and a half years at the Berkshire County House of Correction on one count assault by means of a dangerous weapon, six months at the House of Correction after that on another assault by beans of a dangerous weapon and given concurrent sentenced on single counts of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and illegal possession of a firearm.
Gilmore was found guilty on the charges by a jury on Sept. 29. He assaulted a 22-year-old man in Pittsfield on August 16, 2009.
Gilmore was sentenced to a total of three years.
