Adams Supermarket and Zayer Department Store came to Pittsfield in the 60's on Tyler Street next to each other. As a matter of fact I think they were adjoined to each other by escalators. They were the first of the "super shopping center's" in Pittsfield and advertised that we could find everything there from A to Z." (kh)
