North Adams Farmers Market Moving to Main Street

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The North Adams Farmers Market is set to start its outdoor summer season on May 18, 2024, at a new location.
 
This year, the market will be hosted at a new location on Main Street in North Adams sharing space with Touchy Coffee, a pop coffee shop that will be at 90 Main Street for the month of May.
 
There will be over a dozen vendors at the kickoff market and organizers expect early-season produce and flowers, local meats, fish fresh from the coast, preserves, baked goods, eggs, honey, syrup, and prepared foods like sandwiches and coffee. Composting will be back this season every other weekend and there will be an array of local crafters each week. 
 
Weekly vendors attending the market will be listed and updated in the market’s weekly newsletter.
 
The market is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine, every Saturday through Oct. 19, 2024.
 
Attendees will find parking options available in the Steeple City Plaza or along the opposite side of Main Street. 
 
The North Adams Farmers Market (NAFM) accepts cash, credit cards, SNAP/EBT, HIP, and WIC/Senior FMNP coupons. The market will continue to double up to $30 of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT) benefits each week through their Market Match program.  
 
The 2024 Market Match program has been funded through grants and continued support from Berkshire Agricultural Ventures, the Hardman Fund, and Green Pastures Fund through Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.

MCLA to Host Graduate Programs Info Session at BIC

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will host information sessions for its graduate programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Education (MEd) on Tuesday, May 14 at 5 p.m. at the Berkshire Innovation Center in Pittsfield. 
 
A virtual session will be held on May 30 at noon.
 
Prospective students are invited to meet with faculty, students, and staff to learn more about how to continue their education in two of MCLA's programs designed to support the rising workforce needs in the Berkshires and beyond. 
 
According to a press release: 
 
The MBA program is committed to redefining the educational experience by focusing on real-world application that drives meaningful change in the region's businesses and organizations. The program combines the best liberal arts principles with modern business studies, equipping students with the critical thinking skills needed to excel in today's dynamic business environment. It is a part-time 30-credit program structured in an accelerated hybrid learning model for working professionals and in partnership with the Berkshire Innovation Center (BIC). 
 
The MEd Program offers a thoughtful blend of classroom and fieldwork experiences that prepare students to make a meaningful impact in their school communities. Programs include: MEd with Initial Licensure, Professional Teacher Licensure with MEd, MEd with Individualized Plan of Study Non-Licensure, Accelerated +1 Bachelor's Degree with MEd
