North Adams Blaze U12 Win Division at Berkshire Kickoff Classic
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — In their first soccer tournament, the North Adams Blaze U12 won their division at the Berkshire Kickoff Classic, held during Labor Day weekend. Nine different players contributed goals and assists throughout the weekend.North Adams' strong defense, anchored by Jon Boland, Mitchell Anderson, Heron Rapp and Danny Alvarez provided support to goal keepers Brandon Condon, Connor Meehan and Lucas McLain, who combined to allow only four goals over the five games played. Brandon Condon saved a penalty kick in the opening match against Gateway.
The team scored 23 goals with Zach Condon (8, 1 assist), Jonah Miles (6, 4 assists), Connor Meehan (4), Hunter Harpin (2, 1 assist), Oscar Alvarez, Jon Boland and Alex Babcock (1 each) each contributing. Heron Rapp and Brandon Condon each assisted goals as well.
The team went 5-0 in the tournament. Results are below:
