Red Cross Plans Gift-Wrapping Booth at Mall

10:16AM / Thursday, November 19, 2009

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Berkshire County Chapter of the American Red Cross will be holding its annual gift-wrapping booth at the Berkshire Mall beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, and running through Dec. 24.

It will be located in the J.C. Penney Courtyard, operating Monday through Saturday, 10 to  9, and Sundays 11 to 7. On Dec. 24, the booth will be open from 8 to 4.

This gift wrap booth is a major fundraiser for the Berkshire Red Cross, with all proceeds going toward programs and services such as; disaster relief, medical transportation, Service to Military Families, HIV/AIDS support services, health and safety courses and education and much more.

This is a great opportunity for people to come and have their holiday gifts wrapped while helping a Berkshire friend or neighbor in need, say organizers, who are also seeking volunteer wrappers.

For more information on how to volunteer or other information, call the Berkshire Red Cross at 413-442-1506, Ext.13.
