MCLA Sets Basketball Clinics for Youngsters

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The MCLA Trailblazers men's basketball program announces that fall basketball clinics for boys in Grades 6 through12. The clinics will run every Saturday beginning Oct. 3 and will run for seven weeks concluding on Nov. 14.

Clinics will be held in the Amsler Campus Center at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts starting at 4 p.m. Each clinic will have a topic and are $5 per session (if paying by check; make check out to MCLA Basketball).

The proceeds will go to the basketball program. The clinics will be managed by MCLA head men's basketball coach Jamie Morrison and the Trailblazers coaching staff, alumni and team members.

Mystic, Conn., Rolls Past SteepleCats

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Camden Righi went 3-for-5 with a double Tuesday to lead the Mystic Schooners (5-1) to a 12-2 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball action at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Parker Camelo was 2-for-3 at the plate for North Adams, which scored both its runs in the bottom of the ninth.
 
North Adams used six pitchers in the loss. James Morr and Joe LaPrade each provided an inning of no-hit relief.
 
The SteepleCats (0-3) are at Martha's Vineyard on Wednesday night.
