North County Gospel Festival

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - The First Congregational Church of North Adams, United Church of Christ, will host its Fifth Annual North County Gospel Festival on Friday Oct. 2nd, at 7:00 PM.

The concert will feature a 30+ ecumenical choir made up of members of the local church community. The concert will feature contemporary arrangements of gospel and spiritual songs and hymns. 

The performance, directed by Scott Bailey, will help to raise money for the Berkshire Food Project, a local food pantry that provides over 20,000 free meals every year.

A freewill offering will be taken during the performance. The First Congregational Church is located at 134 Main St. in North Adams.

Mystic, Conn., Rolls Past SteepleCats

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Camden Righi went 3-for-5 with a double Tuesday to lead the Mystic Schooners (5-1) to a 12-2 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball action at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Parker Camelo was 2-for-3 at the plate for North Adams, which scored both its runs in the bottom of the ninth.
 
North Adams used six pitchers in the loss. James Morr and Joe LaPrade each provided an inning of no-hit relief.
 
The SteepleCats (0-3) are at Martha's Vineyard on Wednesday night.
