Ann is a jeweler and exhibiting member of the North Adams Artists’ Co-Op Gallery where her works in sterling silver, PMC (precious metal clay) polymer clay, and other media, are on display. She will present information about PMC as a medium and demonstrate the process of turning Precious Metal Clay into silver.
Ms. Webster-Lang says: “I am attracted to and inspired by natural forms. Currently, I am drawn to the simplification of these forms--the bare bones of their structure. I find that when you pare something down to the root of its form, you see the interconnectedness of everything. Relatedly, I am excited and motivated by the symbolism commonly found in all that surrounds us. Familiar shapes and simplistic forms--the circle, square, triangle and spiral--have multi-layered meanings that inspire my current creations.”
Ann is a trained graphic artist with many years of graphic design experience. She teaches art at the Vermont Art Exchange and at the Mount Anthony Middle School. She is member of the National Polymer Clay Guild, the National Precious Metal Clay Guild and is a Certified Precious Metal Clay Instructor.
The North Adams Artist Co-op Gallery is proud to be one of the 27 galleries participating in this year’s DownStreet Art. DownStreet Art is a public art project of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) designed to energize the creative economy and revitalize downtown North Adams.
