North Adams Public Schools Bus Routes & Schedule for 2009-2010
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — School for elementary students in Grades K through 7 begins Wednesday, Sept. 2, with early dismissal at 11:30.
Drury High School opens on Wednesday, Sept. 2, for students in Grade 8 only, with early dismissal at 11. On Thursday, Sept. 3, students in Grades 8 and 9 will attend school, also with an early dismissal. All students will report for a full day of school on Friday, Sept. 4.
Regular starting and dismissal times for students are:
Elementary schools (K through 7): 8:40 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.
Preschool (morning session): 8:40 to 11:15 a.m.
Preschool (afternoon session): 11:55 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Drury High School: 7:40 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
On early release days, elementary schools are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. and students at the high school are released at 11 a.m.
Unscheduled school closings will be announced on radio station WNAW-AM 1230 and WMNB-FM 100.1, and on iBerkshires. They will be listed on television channels 6, 9, 10 and 13, as well as on the district's Web site.
Breakfast and lunch will be served at all schools beginning on Sept. 2. Breakfast prices are $1 and lunch $1.65. All students who were eligible for free and reduced priced meals last year will continue to participate until a reevaluation of their status is completed.
All schools are open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26, to conduct school business, including the registration of new students.
