Youth Center Incorporated To Host Live Art Show And Auction

ADAMS, Mass. - Youth Center Incorporated will host an Art Show and Auction on Friday, September 11. This fun filled event will be held the Cheshire Rod and Gun Club, located at 310 Curran Road in Cheshire. The funds raised by the event will be used to support the programs offered in Adams, Cheshire and Savoy by Youth Center Inc.

The preview will take place from 6:00-7:00 pm with the live auction starting promptly at 7:00 pm. AJ Ross Auctions will conduct the auction. More than 150 custom framed and matted works of art will be presented, including lithographs, etchings, serigraphs, watercolors, documented sports memorabilia and more.

A partial list of the featured artists provided by AJ Ross Auctions includes works by Kincaid, Wooster Scott, Rockwell, Chagall, Renoir and many others. The majority of the art will have opening bids ranging from $45 to $300. Opening bids are generally 50% less than traditional framed gallery pieces. Investment work, sports memorabilia and sculptures will be available for the serious collector. All art is guaranteed to be priced below Retail Prices and included an exclusive lifetime exchange policy.  

During the auction items such as a chandelier with installation provided by Period Lighting and Gus Giron;  two seats for a Bronx Zoo trip provided by Dufor Tours; two Jiminy Peak Lift Tickets will be auctioned with 100% of the proceeds going to Youth Center Inc. More items to be announced.

Tickets for the auction are $15 per person and $25 per couple. The ticket price includes “A Taste of Local Fare” hors d’houeves. A cash bar will also be on the premises.

“We are very pleased by the generous support we have received from the local businesses,” said Ed St. John, board member and chair of the Funds Development Committee. “We have received strong support for our organization and fundraiser. We are looking forward to see the community come out to the auction.”

Oh so many! My grandfather built the home. He and my grandmother raised their family there and when their kids had children, it remained a special haven for our entire family. My grandfather started his company CTC Inc. in the basement of the home, and his son still owns and operates the business today, now on a much larger scale.
