Mammography Dispute The government's issued controversial new guidelines stating that women shouldn't get annual mammograms until age 50, rather than age 40.

Thousands will gather on Main Street in North Adams on Wednesday, Aug. 19, for the annual city block party. There will be food, music, dancing, demonstrations, kids' activities and information booths. The DownStreet Art galleries will be open along with Main, Eagle and Holden Street shops and restaurants. Lecture program "Native American Truths" will held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park.
